SMS Consent & Messaging Terms
Last updated: July 2026
This page explains exactly which text messages BookZync sends, who receives them, how we obtain consent before sending, and how to stop them. It covers messages BookZync sends to holders of a BookZync account. BookZync is the sender of these messages, and every recipient has a direct account relationship with BookZync.
Who sends these messages, and to whom
BookZync sends these messages to its own registered users — the business owners and staff who hold a BookZync account. There is a direct account relationship between BookZync and every recipient.
BookZync does not send these messages on behalf of any third party, and does not text a customer of one of our users under this program. These messages are account and security messages only. They are not marketing, and we do not send promotional texts under this program.
What we send
- One-time verification codes used to confirm your mobile number or to sign in.
- Account and security notifications, such as an alert about a sign-in attempt or a change to your account.
That is the full list. No marketing, promotions, or sales messages.
How you opt in
Consent is collected inside your BookZync account. There is no other way to be enrolled: we never buy, rent, or import phone numbers, and nobody can add your number on your behalf.
The steps are:
- Create a BookZync account at bookzync.com and sign in.
- Open Settings and choose Verify phone.
- Enter your own mobile number.
- Read the consent notice shown below and tick the box to agree. Nothing is sent to your phone before you do. Your agreement is stored against your account with the date and time, together with the exact wording you were shown.
- Only then do we send a one-time code to that number to confirm it belongs to you.
This is the exact notice shown on that screen, word for word, before any message is sent:
“By checking this box, you agree to receive SMS verification codes and account security alerts from BookZync. Message frequency may vary. Standard Message and Data Rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy at https://bookzync.com/privacy.”
Once you agree, we send a one-time code and this confirmation message:
“BookZync: Thanks for subscribing to verification codes and account security alerts. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase, and you can use BookZync without enabling them.
Message frequency, rates, and carriers
- Message frequency varies: these messages are triggered by your own activity, such as signing in or verifying your number.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop messages, and how to get help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation, and we will send no further messages to that number. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT work the same way. To opt back in later, reply START, or verify your number again in Settings.
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email [email protected]. You can also remove your number in Settings at any time.
Your number, and who sees it
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used to deliver the messages described on this page and is shared only with the messaging provider that delivers them on our behalf.
See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for how we handle your information more generally.
